Jim originally joined Blue Ridge Partners in 2014, where he served clients in the industrial and TMT sectors. He returns to the firm following senior roles across consulting, private equity, and operating companies—including as a Partner at SBI, where he led engagements focused on revenue growth and go-to-market effectiveness, primarily for PE-sponsored TMT clients.

Jim began his career on the industrial side of GE.  At McKinsey & Company, he advised global clients on strategy, operations, and commercial excellence. He later served as a private equity deal professional at Morgenthaler Partners and held general management and strategy leadership roles at Avery Dennison and Staples, providing him with firsthand experience driving growth from within.

Jim holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

In addition to his client work, Jim has been an active mentor to emerging professionals, guest teaching consulting and sales strategy at UMass Amherst and supporting U.S. Special Operations veterans in their transition to business leadership roles.

“We’re excited to welcome Jim back to Blue Ridge Partners,” said Jim Corey, CEO of Blue Ridge Partners. “His ability to translate strategy into execution—grounded in both consulting and operator experience—makes him a valuable partner for our clients and our firm.”
